Joe Bender lives in New York City and serves as NYCHC’s Digital Marketing and Social Media Specialist. He’s passionate about using storytelling and digital strategy to strengthen community engagement and elevate voices within the bleeding disorder.

Joe has been deeply connected to this community his entire life through his older sister Rose, who was diagnosed with hemophilia at 9 months old. Having been a part of each Unite Walk for the past 20 years, Joe has seen firsthand the impact this community has on families and the powerful support it provides.

Joe is a 2023 graduate from Cornell University’s SC Johnson College of Business with a degree in Hospitality Administration, and is excited to apply his skills to amplify NYCHC’s mission and help our community continue to grow.
