NYCHC WOMEN AND GIRLS EDUCATION SUMMIT

Special Guest Speaker:Jeannette Cesta, Executive Director of the VWD Connect Foundation
This educational summit will give you the opportunity to:

Meet and develop relationships with women and girls in the bleeding disorders community
Discuss strategies for pain management, uncontrolled bleeding, and more
Get insight from experts on puberty, pregnancy/family planning, intimacy, and menopause/aging
Wellness sessions addressing stress, work-life balance, and relaxation techniques

This educational summit is specifically for the following community members:

Any woman and girl with a bleeding disorder (including patients who identify as symptomatic carrier/mild hemophilia A, hemophilia, von Willebrand’s disease, or other rare bleeding disorders)
Female caregivers of patients attending

This event is at no cost to participants. Participants will be served a light breakfast and full lunch.
Please note:
– Some topics discussed may not be applicable/appropriate for prepubescent patients
– Male caregivers are allowed to attend with their female family members but may be asked to leave during sessions where sensitive information is discussed and/or required to participate in group activities where applicable
