The New York City Hemophilia Chapter (NYCHC) has appointed Glenn Mones to the position of Director of Communications, according to chapter President Shari Bender. “We’re thrilled to have Glenn as the newest member of our professional team,” Bender said. “Glenn’s extensive knowledge and experience will really help the chapter achieve its goals and mission,” Bender said.

Mr. Mones has more than twenty years of experience at major nonprofit organizations, including senior positions at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, UJA-Federation of New York and at the National Hemophilia Foundation. “I’m very pleased to have this opportunity to continue contributing to the bleeding disorders community and to work with the wonderful folks at NYCHC,” Mones said.

“Glenn will be focusing on helping us improve and expand our communications and educational programs,” said Melissa Penn, Chapter Executive Director. “The goal is to identify, educate, inform and ultimately engage more members of the community, including people affected by bleeding disorders and supporters,” Penn said. The strategy will be to improve and expand existing vehicles like the chapter newsletter, website and others, while developing new strategies and tools to cast a wider net,” she said.

NYCHC’s mission is to foster a sense of community amongst people affected by bleeding disorders, to assist them and their families to help each other through shared experiences and mutual support. NYCHC is a chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation and a member of the Hemophilia Federation of America.
