Fitness Challenge: Destination GO
Being physically active is one key to managing a bleeding disorder. It also has many other benefits, like relieving stress, strengthening connections within the community, and improving general quality of life.Ā Physical activity has been crucial during the pandemic: whether that was by going for socially distant walks around the neighborhood, hiking locally, or using household objects as weights!
To help encourage physical activity within our community, theĀ New England Hemophilia AssociationĀ (NEHA) and theĀ New York City Hemophilia ChapterĀ (NYCHC) are hosting a new version of our AnnualĀ Fitness Challenge. This year, we are invitingĀ all community membersĀ (age 16+) to get involved. This includes bleeding disorder patients, unaffected siblings, and other family members. This challenge is a fun way to become a healthier, happier you!
Each accepted participant will receive a sleekĀ Max Buzz Activity TrackerĀ that will be free to you and is provided by NYCHC and NEHA. The new version of this challenge,Ā Fitness Challenge: Destination GO,Ā officiallyĀ begins on January 27, 2021 and will run for two months!
Space is limited, so please apply as soon as possible. You must apply byĀ Thursday, January 15.Ā Accepted participants will be notified on Monday, January 18.
