Our Staff

Upcoming Events

The CDC has recommended that all gatherings over 50 people be postponed. More information will be provided as we reschedule these events.

Even while postponing these in-person events, our Chapter’s mission is to foster a sense of community for people affected by bleeding disorders, and we are going to continue doing so during this crisis.

Being connected with each other is crucial, as uncertainty and anxiety are very high. Taking care of your emotional well-being, prioritizing self-care, and staying engaged with others in your life are among the most critical things you can do during this time.

 


Resources For Our Community

We have compiled multiples lists of resources to help you and your family during this time period from other national organizations within the bleeding disorders community.

Financial Assistance:

  • The Hemophilia Association of New York has launched a Direct Support program that provides Emergency Financial and Insurance Assistance to community members in need. Click here to learn more or call (212) 682-5510 with any questions.

Due to the impact of COVID-19 on New York City’s workforce, the City of New York has developed a list of resources for those who may be unemployed due to COVID-19 or are seeking additional assistance.

This includes: employment resources, food assistance, health and medical information, financial and rent assistance, and more. See resources here.
