Bilingual Back to School Event
You are invited to attend NYCHC’s Back To School Event!
If you have a child with hemophilia, Von Willebrand Disease, or another bleeding disorder, school can be hard to navigate. It is important to know the resources available to you. At NYCHC’s Back to School Event, you will find:
- Engineering with LEGO Building Blocks learning session for children from TEKintellect LEGO Robotics
- Fun and interactive improvisation show
- Raffles and FREE School Supplies (first come, first served!)
- Self-Infusion Training
- Panel conversation: playing sports with a bleeding disorder
- Spanish Sessions: Maintaining a Healthy Diet at School, Navigating IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) or 504 plans (disability accommodation), and Evaluating Your Health Insurance Options
