2016 Gala

This weekend was a particularly busy one for NYCHC. With our 2016 Annual Gala on Saturday, and a full day of activities and learning at Education Day, it was a whirlwind of a weekend.

Through the Gala, held at the Manhattan Penthouse, we raised over $98,000 for our work in support of bleeding disorders (including advocacy, travel grants, and education). We also honored long-time advocate for women with bleeding disorders, Jeanette Cesta, with the Award of Distinction. Julia Martin Alvarez was also honored as our 2016 Susan Galligan Volunteer of the Year.

Special Guest speakers included Patrick James Lynch and Christopher Ambrosio, who shared their inspiring stories of challenges and successes in spite of having bleeding disorders. Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner, made connections, and danced the night away with surrounded by beautiful views of Manhattan.
