Alice Arapshian grew up in NYC and having type 3 VWD has faced many health challenges. As a result, she is a dedicated advocate for herself and others in the community. More specifically, Alice has provided a unique voice for the VWD community by participating in conferences, providing valuable feedback on consumer advisory boards, participated in the VWD summit in 2014, and lobbying in Washington and Albany days.
Alice has a degree in biochemistry and has worked in cancer research. She later changed careers and is now a software professional.
In her spare time, Alice loves to explore her creative side. Making uniquely flavored ice cream, crocheting intricately patterned clothing, learning Italian, hosting gourmet dinners for family and friends are among a few things she loves to spend time doing.
